I work with children, young people and also adults who stammer and also teach and present work at conferences on stuttering as part of the Michael Palin Centre team. As well as my training in speech and language therapy I have trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and also, more recently, in mindfulness and acceptance-based developments in CBT such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I抦 intrigued by and excited about how to make the ideas of acceptance-based approaches relevant to young people and parents as well as adults, and also how to use those ideas myself as a therapist to help me deliver the most effective therapy that I can for each of my clients.
